Premier League 2022-23 – New Rules
The major change in this 31st edition of EPL is that each team makes five substitutions a game rather than three. This means teams have three opportunities to use their five subs with the option of making them at half-time.
Another change is the multi-ball system to reduce delays when the ball is out of play. There will be 10 balls in total – the match ball, one with the fourth, and eight around the pitch next to a ball assistant.
Nottingham Forest is back in the game for the first time in 23 years. Also, Scott Parker and Fulham who were relegated in 2020-21 are back in EPL, but not together. Fulham undergoes Marco Silva who made it five seasons in a row of bouncing between a championship and the Premier League.
One familiar team will be missing, though. It will be the first Premier League season without Burnley since 2015-16. Norwich and Watford went down after one campaign.
There will be several EPL innings this season, but all eyes will be on Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. £51m signing from Borussia Dortmund has scored more than 130 goals in football and another 20 for Norway. Another part is Liverpool replaced Sadio Mane whereas Tottenham signed Everton striker Richarlison for £60m.
Manchester City sold striker Gabriel Jesus and defender Oleksandr Zinchenko for £75m to Arsenal and Raheem Sterling to Chelsea for £50m. West Ham spent over £60m on Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd and Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca.
Amongst the big names who left EPL are Alexandre Lacazette, Paul Pogba, Mane, Romelu Lukaku, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, and Raphinha.
All fundamentals apply the same, however, odds, lines, and spreads tend to change in response to how the match is unfolding. Therefore, it is best to rely on the best Premier League betting site to place future bets all season long, with the latest odds, betting markets, winner outright, and other details.
